Eligibility?
- Community members who are over 18 years are obliged to register themselves as Members of Jamaat.
Where can I get the membership forms?
- Membership application forms are available at the Jamaat office during office hours: 9.00 to 12.30 and 14.30 to 17.30
- Membership forms must be filled by the applicant or a relative, who is conversant to do the same on behalf of the applicant.
- Members have to pay Tshs 15,000/= when collecting the forms.
What are the requirements needed?
In order for the Management to process the application, Members must produce:
- 1 recent passport-sized photograph
- Photocopy of passport or birth certificate.
- In case of transfer of membership from any overseas Jamaat, letter of clearance must be attached with the Membership Application Form.
- Referee two paid Jamaat Members.
How long does it take to become a member?
- The process takes about 7 to 60 days.
- The applicant will submit the application form in person, and will be called to the office for confirmation or an interview (if required).

What are the requirements needed?
- Full name of Groom and Bride as on the Passport.
- Groom must be a member of DSM Jamaat or produce a clearance letter from other E.A. or overseas Jamaat.
- Father of the bride must be a member of Jamaat or produce a clearance letter from E.A. or overseas Jamaat.
- All lawajjam must be paid for the current year or in arrears.
- HIV for both Groom and Bride.

General Guidelines
- Please read all forms carefully before you fill. Kindly put down all details as asked in the forms.
- When submitting the forms, please make sure that Jamaat subscription for father’s/ guardian’s of both parties are paid to date.
- Both the bride and groom will have to undergo an HIV test. Details will be provided by the Jamaat. Results are strictly confidential. The test is a matter of policy and must be done 30 days prior to the wedding. If the time period between an engagement and marriage exceeds two months, the test must be taken again.
- Marriage contract form is open to additions. Both the bride and groom have the right to add extra conditions suitable to their own understanding. Both parties must sign the contract document.
- Gents majlis before the start of wedding ceremonies (sharwate shaadi), will be co-ordinated together with the registration.
- Ceremonies for ladies will also be co-ordinated at the time of registration.

What Types of loans are available?
- Higher education loans for students who want to study abroad they are eligible to a maximum amount of USD 8,000
- Higher education loans for students who want to study locally they are eligible to a maximum amount of USD 5000
- Vocational loan that is for Diploma courses students are maximum eligible for USD 2000
