MEMBERSHIP

i.        Eligibility?

  • Community members who are over 18 years are obliged to register themselves as Members of Jamaat.

ii.        Where can I get the membership forms?

  • Membership application forms are available at the Jamaat office during office hours: 9.00 to 12.30 and 14.30 to 17.30
  • Membership forms must be filled by the applicant or a relative, who is conversant to do the same on behalf of the applicant.
  • Members have to pay Tshs 15,000/= when collecting the forms.

iii.        What are the requirements needed?

  • In order for the Management to process the application, Members must produce:

o   1 recent passport-sized photograph

o   Photocopy of passport or birth certificate.

o   In case of transfer of membership from any overseas Jamaat, letter of clearance must be attached with the Membership Application Form.

o   Referee two paid Jamaat Members.

iv.        How long does it take to become a member?

  • The process takes about 7 to 60 days.
  • The applicant will submit the application form in person, and will be called to the office for confirmation or an interview (if required).

 

ENGAGEMENT

i.        Where can I get the engagement forms?

  • Engagement application are available at the Jamaat Office during office hours: 9.00 to 12.30 and 14.30 to 17.30 and to be filled by the Parents.

ii.        Who to meet for the engagement registration?

  • Sis. Shazmeen Pirbhai

iii.        What are the requirements needed?

  • Full name of Groom and Bride as on the Passport.
  • Groom must be a member of DSM Jamaat or produce a clearance letter from other E.A. or overseas Jamaat.
  • Father of the bride must be a member of Jamaat or produce a clearance letter from E.A. or overseas Jamaat.
  • All lawajjam must be paid for the current year or in arrears.
  • HIV for both Groom and Bride.

v.        What are the registration charges?

  • Registration charges: Tshs 40,000/=

 

MARRIAGE

i.        Where can I get the Marriage forms?

  • Marriage application forms are available at the Jamaat Office during office hours: 9.00 to 12.30 and 14.30 to 17.30 and to be filled by the Parents.

ii.        What are the marriage registration charges?

  • Notice of Marriage:- Tshs 15,000/-
  • Marriage Certificate:- Tshs 40,000/-
  • HIV Certificate:- Tshs  5,000/-
  • Nikkah:- Tshs 250,000/-
  • Sharwate Shaadi:- Tshs 250,000/-
  • Mehndi Maulud:- Tshs 250,000/-
  • Media Room:- Tshs 100,000/-

iii.        General Guidelines

  • Please read all forms carefully before you fill. Kindly put down all details as asked in the forms.
  • When submitting the forms, please make sure that Jamaat subscription for father’s/ guardian’s of both parties are paid to date.
  • Both the bride and groom will have to undergo an HIV test. Details will be provided by the Jamaat. Results are strictly confidential. The test is a matter of policy and must be done 30 days prior to the wedding. If the time period between an engagement and marriage exceeds two months, the test must be taken again.
  • Marriage contract form is open to additions. Both the bride and groom have the right to add extra conditions suitable to their own understanding. Both parties must sign the contract document.
  • Gents majlis before the start of wedding ceremonies (sharwate shaadi), will be co-ordinated together with the registration.
  • Ceremonies for ladies will also be co-ordinated at the time of registration.

KHUMS

i.        Where can I make the payments for khums and what mode of payment is acceptable?

  • Payments for khums are to be done at the Jamaat Office during office hours: 9.00 to 12.30 and 14.30 to 17.30 and both cash and cheque payments are acceptable.

 

MUSAFIRKHANA

i.        Who to contact if I need to book a room and the contact number?

ii.        Types of rooms and charges?

  • Single room for Tshs 40,000/- (Foreigners US $ 20)
  • Double room for Tshs 60,000/- (Foreigners US $ 30)
  • Extra Mattress for Tshs 10,000/-
  • Both rooms are fully air conditioned.
  • The rates include Breakfast

Note: For identification all guests are required to produce a clearance letter from their respective Khoja Jamaats.

 

KSI JAMAAT MEMBERSHIP CARD

i.        What are the requirements and charges for you to require a membership card?

  • The person must be a KSI Jamaat member
  • The person should fill the Census form
  • Charges are Tshs 15,000/-

ii.        How long does it take for you to get the card?

  • 3 weeks

iii.        Who to contact for the membership card?

  • Contact Mr Sadik Alidina  the Jamaat Office during office hours: 9.00 to 12.30 and 14.30 to 17.30

 

IRAN VISA CLEARANCE LETTER

i.        What are the requirements and charges for Iran Visa clearance letter?

  • Full name of applicant as on the passport
  • Passport number
  • Charges are Tshs 15,000/= single person
  • Charges are Tshs 20,000/= family
  • Charges are Tshs 100,000/= caravan
  • Please produce a photocopy of the passport when requesting for a letter.

HIGHER EDUCATION LOANS

i.        Where can I get the Loan application forms and what are the requirements?

  • The loan application forms are available at the Jamaat office during office hours: 9.00 to 12.30 and 14.30 to 17.30
  • Requirements are clearly stated in the forms and also explained to the student when he/she comes to collect them.

ii.        When are the meetings with Education Board Representatives held?

  • Every Saturdays

iii.        What Types of loans are available?

  • Higher education loans for students who want to study abroad they are eligible to a maximum amount of USD 8,000
  • Higher education loans for students who want to study locally they are eligible to a maximum amount of USD 5000
  • Vocational loan that is for Diploma courses students are maximum eligible for USD 2000

 

MEDIA ROOM

i.        General guidelines

  • 72 hours prior approval required from Secretariat
  • Email to management@ksijdar.org
  • Media room is specifically reserved for Jamaat and its affiliated activities
  • Slides must be precise and concise

i.        General guidelines

i.        General guidelines

  • Membership forms are available at Babul ilm, and payments are to be done there.
  • Charges for Madressa students:

o   Yearly : Tshs 5,000/-

o   Monthly : Tshs 500/-

  • Charges for regular members:

o   Yearly : Tshs 10,000/-

o   Monthly : Tshs 1,000/-

  • For those who want a membership card need to provide 1 passport size photograph and Tshs 2,500/-
  • Babul ilm timings:

o   For Ladies:  Mon – Fri ~ 9:00am to 1:00pm

Tue, Thurs and Fri ~ 1:30pm to 6:00pm

Sat ~ 9:00am to 1:00pm

 

o   For Gents: Mon and Wed ~ 1:30pm to 6:00pm

Mon – Fri ~ 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Sat ~ 2:00pm to 6:00pm
